The PET bottles we so often use today can be collected and introduced back into the economic circuit by recycling them. PET - the abbreviation Polyethylene- terephthalate, is 100% recyclable and can be easily used in production of new products in multiple industries: hygiene, automotive, construction, geotextile etc.

PET bottle waste are processed in successive phases of:

Colour sorting: after the bales are open in individuals bottles, the instalation separe them by colour and type of polymer (other than PET, foil, paper, labels, dirt, sand etc). Ferrous and non-ferrous are also removed from the bottles stream, before entering in the continous NIR for grinding process.

Grinding: The PET bottles already sorted by colours are carried in separate bunkers ( for transparent colour, blue colour, green colour, brown and unusual colours).  From bunkers the pet bolltes are carried in grinders. The process uses a wet grinding, resulting in the end PET flakes, dryed by a centrifugal dryer.

Washing:  The transport of the PET flakes into washing line is done by a pneumatic sistem in silos, which are feeding the washing lines. The last stage of this process is done by using the optical sorters, in order to eliminate all the impurities ( foreign material and other colours), to achieve the finest grades flakes.

The pet flakes are packed in big bags, weightinh 1 tone. Each bag is tested in the quality laboratory before dispatch.
